1. What is “Movilok Interactive Showcases”?
It is a digital interactive advertising system developed by Movilok, in which the content shown in a display is temporarily controlled by the public with their own mobile phones.

2. What is this useful for?
The system is intended for stores, hotels, agencies and other types of areas which show information, product and services to customers or the general public. The target audience, besides passively receiving the information, can decide what they want to see, drilling down to the detail of a certain product, searching, filtering, requesting further details or even downloading to their mobile phones the brochure of the product they are interested in.
Interactivity is fundamental to enhance customer engagement, so this kind of digital showcase will help in the sale process. As it does not require physical contact to the screen, it can be placed facing outside behind a shop window and customers will be able to use it even when the store is closed.
Since usage analytics are recorded, the showcase operator receives data about the most popular items among the shown catalog. Customer feedback and further details requests are also supported, thus providing a new channel to improve and retain customer engagement.

3. What do I need to have  to get one for my business?
The hardware consists of a conventional display, such as an HD TV set, and any internet connected device capable of running a Google Chrome Web Browser, such PC/Mac, ChromeBox or ChromeCast.
The software is a cloud service managed by Movilok for which a periodic fee is charged.
For a user to temporarily connect and control it only a smartphone is required (most operating system platforms are supported: iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone). There is also a mobile app available for Android and iOS.

 

4. Is it safe?
Although the system is intended to show public information, the communication that takes place between the showcase and the user’s cell phone are established by standard, secure communication protocols. However, the information displayed on the showcase screen does not reach the user’s cell phone, with the exception of the documents that the user may download.

5. How much is it?
The hardware and the internet connection are decided by the showcase operators: you can use existing equipment or purchase new device.
The access to the cloud service by Movilok is provided on a periodic subscription. This is a flat fee per showcase. Please contact us for details if you are interested.

6. How can I buy it?
By contacting Movilok via e-mail (info@movilok.com or showcases@movilok.com) or filling in the contact form in the website. Soon it will be possible to be purchased directly on the website and by contacting a local partner.

 

7. I’ve got a small or medium business, can I do the set up?
The system is designed for a “do it yourself” concept, without the need of specific technical knowledge. Once the subscription is activated, you will get a user account on our website with the step-by-step guides you need to set it up and a fully functional sample showcase. Movilok also provides an easy to use content management system so you can enter your own data to be shown.
